Started in 2001, the .NAME universal extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to secure john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your native language.
