A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam emails, but this issue can be solved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be astonishingly easy if you have a hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you’ve set up displayed alphabetically and on the right side of each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly show you if a certain mailbox receives all the messages associated with a given domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any time. If there is activated email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get a warning note from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this option will be to click that icon. In the very same way you’ll be able to turn off the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will let you know in case you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all address for a particular domain or if there is activated email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate any feature automatically and without your consent.
